Note the area of relatively high man-made radiation (150-250
microRoentgens) located within five miles of the Strake shot. The radiation
from the two hot zones (see the green dots in the upper right corner of the
map) were measured at a distance of 1 meter from the surface. The source radionuclides
found at these sites were not identified. There is little liklihood of the
materials at these two sites being entrained in the Strake dust cloud, however,
these measurements are evidence that significant amounts of radioisotopes are
beneath the surface and could have migrated at an earlier time to the Strake
GZ.
